I think I’ve technically got five hats on needles, two more floating around not quite finished. I grabbed these two to work on yesterday during a daylong workshop, then did a bit more while lingering with a friend at a cafe for another few hours.
The black and yellow yarns are both thrifted sweaters, frogged. The white yarns are both thrifted skeins. I like where each is headed but not sure I won’t just frog one or both of them—the yellow one seems off in size and the black one I quite like but might reconsider the brim.
There is a pleasure in process and in making things, in small movements and in feeling my skills improve, and that pleasure is independent from what I produce.
